use the force to take the curtain hanger (the metal bar). and voila, attach detector to it.

Love the insane-logic quests. Like I couldn't just keep it in hand.

And that trick about the usless-things-box was very mean... but also very hilarious.

EDIT: It doesnt work, tried several times.

it's just that i played this a long time ago, sorry for mistake. you have to talk to r2 about this lifting him up and than he'll do something.
